I believe Maine should prioritize affordable living in Maine by offering quality healthcare, strong childcare options, excellent education, attainable housing, and real economic opportunities for working families. I envision our neighborhoods as safe, welcoming, and connected places where children know their neighbors, families enjoy parks and trails, and community policing ensures residents feel secure.
Having served as a Sanford City Councilor for eight years, I have seen firsthand how decisions made in Augusta directly affect local taxpayers. When the state fails to fully fund education, reduces revenue sharing, or imposes unfunded mandates, the burden disproportionately impacts local property taxpayers, families, and businesses.
These pressing issues are why I, Ayn Hanselmann, am running this November for Maine District 142 in the House of Representatives, utilizing Clean Election funds to support our campaign contributions and ensure that we can advocate effectively for our community.
